THE DOWNTOWN SELF-SUPPORTED MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (SMID)
The funding mechanism for the
Downtown Partners program is coming to an end on June 30, 2008. And
without a renewal of the funding mechanism, Downtown Partners will
close its doors on that date.
We are asking business owners and
citizens concerned for the future of Downtown Sioux City to support
the renewal of the district for another 5 year term. We have created
this information sheet to explain how Downtown Partners is funded
and what you can do to help.

City Council has scheduled a public hearing for the SMID renewal for
Monday, January 28, 2008 during the regular City Council Meeting at
City Hall.
